Since America's 250th anniversary is coming up, I have decided to give my opinions on the Revolutionary war and if it was a justified war. At the end of the French and Indian war (7 Years War); Britain was left in debt, and a bloated Naval budget. to pay their debts they would end up taxing the colonies (whom were originally left to their own thing). these taxations would anger the colonists as they didn't have representation for them, and unlike the englishman at the isles, had to pay (If I remember correctly) more than them. Several taxes were enacted, but the Townshend act would be a causation towards the Boston Massacre which would lead to the death of 5 colonists after British troops were verbally harassed and were antagonized by angry American colonists. The Massacre would end up causing outrage and this would continue mounting towards the Boston Tea Party (And the other "Tea Parties" such as the one in New York, Philadelphia, and other port cities), where American Patriots threw Tea into the Harbor as a protest to the forced importation of British East Indies tea that was heavily taxed. The Tea Parties would result in the First Continental Congress where they created the Minutemen, and sent a petition to the King. The Outrage among americans would continue mounting with the Intolerable acts being conducted, closing Boston Harbor and putting it under Martial Law. which then British soldiers would move in and would overtake homes, and do other horrible stuff. Then they would go off to try and find Patriot armory's and take them which would end up in resulting in Paul Revere's ride and the subsequent Battles of Lexington and Concord (and the "Shot the Rang Around the World"). Now, I believe that the Patriots were just in this war as Parliament refused to cooperate with the Colonists. and King George the Third was also a Tyrant; not listening to them and being like a dictator. America fought for its independence and has remained free; England is not, and is highly instable.
