So y’all this takes place during world war 2 and some Britain soldiers are landing on Ada (the main character) town, I can’t explain the storyline so you have to look it up if your curious, but anyway she and her friend Daisy are giving them water and tea and helping out when a soldier asks Ada, who’s still learning to read and write, to write him a letter since his fingers felt numb. She still couldnt write very well so she went to go get Daisy to write it, and when they came back, the man was suddenly dead. THIS BROKE ME.
