Backstory time! ★Luke Oki so basically, he's just a normal 21-year-old college junior in modern day, with a normal life. He enjoys Shakespearean acting and takes it as a course. He also takes fencing, because he likes it. So one day, he was walking to his class and opened the door to the theatre, when instead he walked into the palace halls in the Isles of Corolis. Surprise, he's a rifter! He actually takes it pretty well, because he hadn't had much family or friends. Now, this is when the prince is still nice, so Luke gets a job being a guard for him, because as you know Luke is good at swordfighting. Since Luke is a very loyal guy–that's just the type of person he is–he keeps working as a guard, even when the prince starts getting worse a couple years later. Besides he has friends now! Like Cardinal! Plus he's probably pretty high in ranking by now, because of how loyal and good at swordfighting he is. And he's decent with tactics, and makes a great spy because of his acting experience. So anyway, if somebody tried to get him to join the rebellion, he would probably be like, "no way" and turn them in for treason. But he's not evil or anything, he's actually a very decent guy! ★Cardinal Okay so no one's entirely sure what her story is, because she will talk about literally anything but that. All they know for sure is that she's been here for as long as anyone can remember. Some say she rifted here a while ago, some say she was born into palace work. The most probable story is that her parents were spies for the royal family, but then they died on a mission, leaving her an orphan at the age of 14. She started working as a servant, but was hired to be a guard a little while later when she foiled a robbery. She's been a guard ever since, and knows almost everybody at the palace.
