Also Ruby is kind of held hostage by the scientists who created her, and they do tons of experiments on her. But she escapes with Aiden, and they meet friends along the way, including a girl with adoptive alien parents (Stella), another soldier (Blade), and more people the scientists created (Uno, Bolt, Pearl, etc.). Also their planet is tidally locked, and the two countries are the two different sides. One is always day, and the other is always night. Ruby is from the daytime side, and Aiden is from the night side.
This is my book. Credits to my sister for helping me with it. WARNING: This is for medium to older kids but younger kids can still read it. It can be scary and/or sad at some parts and there are some things that younger kids may not understand. If you're under 8, you should read it with someone who's 8 or older.
