Okay, I'm not going to bother trying to start normal. I'm addressing this now because I have had too many encounters where people have forcibly tried to make me change my characters' identities. The most annoying thing is when people assume because a male looks feminine, he is gay. I had a person I know well (also gay) tell me that I needed to change Clown's sexuality since he was too feminine. Now, I'm not saying that there's anything wrong with that initial statement. But then he kept pushing and eventually started calling me homophobic for not changing it. Like, how can I be homophobic and make shows around LGBTQ+ things??? And, I'm literally queer! This same thing happened with Gray. Someone told me he looked too feminine and should be gay or trans. There's nothing wrong with being gay or being Trans, but I didn't want Gray to be like that. He's Ace, or AroAce, and just feminine. But this person KEPT. PUSHING. The final one that p!sses me off the most is Salem. I've had MULTIPLE people tell me Salem's definitely gay even though I've expressed how he's straight. This is just stupid. The craziest thing was I met someone who said they kinda saw a ship between Salem and Solem. THEY'RE. BROTHERS. I have a few gay characters, so it isn't like I'm discriminating against them. But when I say a character is what a character is, don't try to fight me to change that. A man can be feminine and be straight, it's normal. Assuming a man is gay or Trans because of how he looks or acts is just extremely rude. It needs to stop. ~ Nabs
