I guess she was looking at the sun. Everyone has done it at one point. Testing your new sunglasses for how good they are- which fails miserably because you bought it from Dollar Tree for 1$. Or a solar eclipse which isn’t that often so i’m lucky to have witnessed a total one. even though they took us inside right after totality. ‘For preservation of the cult’s goodness.’ It was beautiful. Those 2 minutes. But a cult’s a cult and has its rules. I wish I could’ve stayed longer. My parents could’ve cared less. “Anything for THEY,” my mom said when she took me out of preschool at 4. I wonder who I could be if I went to college and got a master’s degree like I wanted I could be out there helping people with disability. being better. Oh shoot! Azalea! Qaill is probably blind by now!!! I run down the stairs to see her still standing toward the sunset. Her eyes are tearing up. I don’t know if it’s because she’s not used to sunlight or if the sunset is that magnificent in her eyes. but its not harmful to the eyes. I think. Now it is darkening The grass fades from an orange tint to a twilight purple. I should’ve left earlier at 7 pm when my shift ended but how can you just leave a kid on the ground alone blinded by dirt and a mouthful of grass? Well I need to leave The sun is practically gone, eaten by the clouds. I wave bye to Qaill and she waves back standing there. I turn back hop into my Chevorlet and head back home. On my drive I see everyone else Totally fine. Some are coming from 12 hour shifts, Vacations, Funerals, Sleepovers, Parties, Church, Mosque, Temple, And know they have family at home that cares.
