Now, I don't want to scare any children or anything... but Earth... won't be forever, as the Sun gets 10% hotter and brighter almost every 1 billion years (which, believe me... is lifetaking in a bad way), but in 5 billion years... the Sun will expand into a red giant 400 times it's normal size, swallowing every single planet in the solar system and not missing a single bit.
