WARNING : d3ad animal body present, dr0wn!ng ──────── The sky seems clearer today. The clouds from last night left to find another place to cry on, leaving the land thick with tears and dew. A group of warriors slipped out for the dawn patrols, paws muddied and pelts damp, as they trekked towards the borders to renew territory. There was the occasional rustle of frightened prey, and the usual morning chirping of birds was quiet. A bit too quiet. Though the silence was broken up by one of the many rushing rivers that tore through the territory. There, body curled over the half-submerged rocks of the stream, was Lamentdestiny… . . . ✩ It was a quiet night. At least, as quiet as a river-torn forest could get. Leaves were traced out by silver and streams bursts through rocks whilst the crickets and frogs sang songs and indistinct tales throughout the dim territory. It was a place and time that Lamentdestiny was so familiar with. Their dark and muddy paws pushed past overgrown grass, stepping to the edge where the green dipped down into a rushing river, new-leaf letting the snow renew the life in it. She took in a deep breath, staring at faer own reflection which shattered and broke apart in the currents. It felt like it’s been a moon or two since the night dweller was young, eyes sparkling as fae marveled at the new territory and meeting new and few cats. Nothing really stuck though, and even now, her mind was still stuck and lonely of any meaningful cats outside of family. Funny how some things never changed. Fae glanced up, noticing how the water lapping at the rocks poking up from the surface grew higher and higher. Further up though, there was a frog, oblivious to the rising tides by their feet. " Oh, Froggy! What are you doing over there? " They meowed aloud, " Hop off! Hop off! " The frog let out a ribbit in response. Lament paused, looking down at the river. " … Mel’s will go get you. " The warrior took a few pawsteps back, before lunging, disappearing beneath the currents before breaking back to the surface, recklessly paddling against the water. The stones poking out were slippery to the touch, as she tried to cling onto it, shaking as fae lifted themselves onto it. Panting, Lamb reached out. " Here Dess is! Come on! I— " The frog jumped away, causing the storyteller to flinch. " Oh? " Lamentdestiny heard a weird noise, looking over upstream, as a large wave started to build up, " Why… " The small feline toppled over, the world disappearing into bubbles and the endless darkness that was the river. They aimlessly clawed at the wild currents, only to be pulled further and further away from the surface, branches and leaves blocking faer path. Everything felt numbingly cold, and no matter how much she thrashed and moved, nature seemed to have made its decision. A piece of driftwood slammed into faem, pushing them upwards. She managed to bob faer head out to the water, paws wetly scraping at the branches that got lost to the river too, as they struggled to keep above the surface. They wanted to call for help, or try to at least, but all that came out was dry heaving. The darkness around gave no comfort; the gnarled branches of trees just out of reach, and leaves choking by the swell of the stream. There was nothing but the dread that remained by faer side, and whatever strength was left pumping through their veins. Fae gritted their teeth, kicking her way back upstream. Back towards the rocks they were once standing on. Not that she got far anyways. Darkness swallowed faem up once more, pulling her back down into the river, where the sky and ground were the same and only the light of the moon broke through the frenzied ripples on the surface. It was such a pretty sight. One that the night-dweller has grown accustomed to throughout their lifetime. Perhaps, Sonnetivy is looking up at the moon too. Maybe even Rhapsodyfever too. Or they’re both fast asleep as usual, awaiting for the sun to warm them up and pry open their eyes. Faer children: Carppaw, Melodypaw, Hawthornpaw, Luckypaw… She didn’t reach out to them all, didn’t bother to; a regret that has now left them lost in the river of the very clan they all reside in. Hopefully, they won’t have to see faer body. Lamentdestiny wouldn’t want them to see her tragic ending. ✩ . . . There, the Gardener of Dreams was put to rest. Where their graves of untold stories is left forgotten. The moon must set after all, leaving the stars to rise and a daisy to bloom. And the book has finally closed and opened another.
Music : Chirp by C418 ✩⋆. ࿐࿔ ALRIGHT! This marks the end of a chapter! Now there’s only Snugglebugdream left… Though that’s tss stuff and they’ll live a bit more longer than Lamentdestiny nws. Honestly, I’m rather glad the Lamentdestiny was my first ever cat when joining tfcrp, and I do rather enjoy the character I had in mind for them! If anything, she’s actually a character I enjoy rping as a little bit more, because in faer nature, they’re a dreamer. And no matter what, she’ll find something pretty even in the deep, disgusting, dark. And that’s funny. They will probably fight you if you try to insult like… A toad. Maybe a maggot would be better ngl fae likes those too. ( they help the environment! ) I /do/ wish I was more active with Lament, and have fae actually /write/ stories and send them out into the world. I have thought of doing something like that, in a project, but I didn’t really have anything in mind to write. The only story she ever told to another cat was one about fireflies and shooting stars, but I forgot who sadly. Onto the shoutouts and thanks : THANK YOU Ajax ( @sycoraxx ) and Robin ( @strkology ) for letting me win Lamentkit in 2025! Ajax especially for also being Lament’s brother, Rhapsodyfever, too. Onto siblings, thank you Yuna ( @jenesiis_ ) for being Lamentdestiny’s sister!! Ngl I have to admit, I did look at ur application and was lowk amazed and it did inspire my own application ( and I continued with my yaelokre fixation too when making it ) Both of you guys are honestly really amazing people, and I hope you two are doing well! Also, thank you Lynn ( @LapisFox2010 ) for designing Lament, I know I wanted to shoutout you but I forgot why, I am writing all of this on the spot but like, I changed faem a bunch comparing 2026 Lament to 2025 they’re just different cats in the same coat. Also Lament is one of 3 designs I have of you so there’s that oops- ( Symphony activity may start peaking a bit ) I /believe/ there’s more… There’s also the current roleplayers of Lamentdestiny’s children, Carppaw ( rped by Flyaway @codingkidlets ) and Hawthornpaw ( rped by Time @StarryShines ) Rip Luckypaw and Melodypaw ( rpers Clue ( @Kawaiipets0w0 ) and @micropIastics respectively ) Lucky was already preclaimed, but in the case of Carp, Hawthorn, and Melody, I’m glad the rpers applied! And I hope you all take good care of those critters too ^^ Anyways, what’ll happen with Lamentdestiny and their design now? She’s free to go touch grass alongside Sugarhalo! And having the free chance to maybe go in my silly warrior cat game that’ll likely never be made ( maybe later on or something, I feel like I have more rp obligations than stopping to make a game, even if that’s was one of my main reasons to joining ( alongside rping too ) ) I’m tired this death srp was supposed to happen in May sigh sigh. Anyways uhhh bye! Daisysonder shenanigans will happen after this, and then Symphony and Fulfillment stuff too!
