I hold great patriotism to my country, and i am proud of how far its gone since its beginning, for we have held strong to the american nation through thick and thin, through the good and the bad, from the rural days of the early republic to the urban ones of today, from the impoverished days to our wealthy ones, the american nation has held strong, and i am proud of that, for i am a proud american, despite our current governments wrongdoings and its crimes i still hold onto my patriotism and the hope that better days will arrive, for now though we celebrate the semiquincentennial of our nation and get to look back on how far weve come.
"Oh say can you see, by the dawns early light, what so proudly we hailed, at the twilights last gleaming, whose broad stripes and bright stars, through the perilous night, over the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming? and the rockets red glare, the bombs bursting in air, gave proof through the night, that our flag was still there, oh say does that star spangled banner yet wave, over the land of the free, and the home of the brave?"
