The Imperialist class of fleet carrier is, by far, the oldest class of ship still in service. They were the first capital ship deployed by Kefeon after entering the wider galactic community and have served valiantly ever since. This is the second refit for the Imperialist class, the first was rushed and installed new systems needed for continued operation without properly changing many major flaws in the ship's design and failing to update now massively outdated systems used in the Imperialist class. The refit is primarily for the interior systems, the outdated reactors of the Imperialist is replaced with a mroe modern nuclear reactor and the areas used for housing the extra crew once required for manned fighters are used to house more guns, armour and fightercraft whilst the spinal cannon is improved and storage for the slugs is increased. Lasers are fit onto the carrier, 36 arrays in total, to better arm it against long-range threats and incoming missiles. On the topic of missiles, the carrier's missile batteries are completely refit. The areas once housing massive, inefficient nuclear torpedoes designed to bombard planes from afar are replaced with smaller, multipurpose modern missile launchers. The missiles housed on the refit version of the Imperialist are primarily for striking enemy ships, though it obviously houses a large number of interceptors and nukes.
another boring but necessary update to my fleet. this carrier has been around for like hundreds of years its the A-10 of my navy.
