1 )- DOC SIGNING Elya Pensky and Michael McFaul—the Tanak (Soviet) and Vespacian ambassadors to each others' respective nations—were pictured earlier this afternoon signing a document, formally ending the Volga Civil War. The document releases Volga from the Soviet Federation and creates a new nation-state: the Republic of Volgograd. 2 )- DMZ INFO In addition to this, it also creates a 35-90 km demilitarized buffer zone, separating the Volgograd Republic from the Tanakvik Soviet Republic. The DMZ is monitored by high-altitude drones from both sides, not requiring present military units. The demilitarized zone is still populated and used to generate economic output. Official borders are determined by an internal line of demarcation. It remains, today, as one of the most relaxed Soviet-Europian borders to date.
