Hey, I would type this on text boxes in the costume editor and make it look all fancy but I’m on mobile rn and anyone who has used scratch on a phone before probably knows how annoying it is to do literally ANYTHING… also long speech incoming!!!!! Anyways, I just wanted to make this as a thank you to everyone who has stuck by me and showed support in these last 10 months or so. Genuinely I almost lost my love for this website and coding in general, I was so close. But then, in early October, I started working on something I really liked. Something that does not rely on certain fandoms to receive views, something new. Can you tell what I’m talking about? That’s right, Parrying Perplexity. I’m sorry for bringing it up so much, but I’m just so proud of the game and how far it’s come. The support for parrying perplexity has been immense, and all I could really ask for. It’s just reassurance for me that I can pour my passion and skill into something and still receive attraction! It’s entirely what made me realise that I can’t quit yet. I can’t leave the people who actually enjoy my stuff behind. Each and every compliment on the comments on Parrying Perplexity and every project ever since genuinely puts a smile on my face, and it makes me think “wow, there are people who actually care for my interests and skills”. So, to all people, even those who just view my projects, thank you so much. You have no idea how far each compliment goes, they make my day so much better! I love having conversations with people on topics, and sharing opinions with people. As someone who has been active on this site for over 6 years (but only started using it thoroughly in early 2023) and seen people come and go, it’s nice to see there’s still hope for this site. Every now and again I do think that I’m getting too old for this site - and I most likely am - but it’s so hard to just leave. So in conclusion, thank you, to the small-but-mighty community of people who have shown me that with most risks I take, there will probably always be people looking on.
You guys :) This last year or two haven’t been the easiest for me, whether that’s losing loved ones or seeing the downfall of people who I once looked up to. With the exponentially-growing issues around us (whether that’s locally or globally), it’s becoming harder to be patient and kind to each other. But gladly this site does not have a lack of awesome people, so I’m more than happy to ignore scratch’s issues for now.
