❥Update 001. Bonding with Sunflower - I squatted and kept my head low so I wouldn't look as threatening as I would if I was looking up or into Sunflower's eyes. When she walked cautiously over to me, I looked up slightly, but she didn't get scared. I stood up slowly, and that spooked her, so she jumped back a tad. I looked back down, but offered my hand for her to smell, and she reared and spooked. I lowered my head and hand back down, and she seemed to calm a little bit, but I backed up some and squatted again, looking down at the green, dewy grass. She slowly, hesitantly approached me, and I looked up, offering my hand once again. She sniffed it cautiously, and I slowly, quietly stood up. She stayed where she was, and I lifted my hand, and she nuzzled it lightly. I wanted her to get used to my touch everywhere, especially her back, since that's where the saddle pad and saddle would go eventually. I decided to bring her back into the barn, so I started walking that way and she followed quietly, then ran toward it. I was about to run after her, but realized that would spook her once again, and I didn't want that, so I just walked.
