Hello, Ez here. (may or may not be a reference) So as some of you may know, I am a pretty spontaneous person, being an ENFP and all. To those of you who have requested art or started an art trade and never received art from me; I apologize. My motivation comes in bursts and it comes attached to certain things. At one point, I was in the art request mood, but it vanished halfway through the requests, and I just...never ended up doing the rest. So, first of all, I just want to say that I'm sorry for that, and I hope you can find someone else more reliable to make you art of your characters </3 Because of my spontaneity, I likely will no longer do art requests, DTs or ATs (this applies to my @OpaqueRed account too). If I see a character I like, there's a chance I'll make fanart on my own impulse, but probably not often. Okay, now Resonance Rising. So it looks like I haven't posted a chapter in 10 months... I know there's probably plenty of Scratch artists more professional than me that took longer to post chapters of their comics, though... it happens. It's something you need to have a routine for, and a will to do. The thing is, I do want to share it with others. Just...if I want to make it into a larger thing later on (which I do), I don't know if having it on Scratch first will mess that up. Because on Scratch, anyone can use anything and no one owns things—people can just take an idea and use it as long as they give the creator credit. While it's fun and all, I don't think this site is the right one for Resonance Rising. Procreate is really hard to draw on. Whether I'm using a finger or an apple pencil, it doesn't matter; I feel like I'm not improving at the rate I want to improve. Which is okay, I've accepted that I'm learning at my own pace—but for drawing a huge Scratch comic project that's scripted, left behind for weeks, then coming back and my art somehow got worse or changed drastically in style, so I have to completely redo it again? It's not the most convenient, I'll admit. This is why I'm cancelling putting Resonance Rising on here as a Scratch webcomic, and replacing it with another story (I'll delete the account and the studios associated with Resonance Rising, but I'll keep the first chapter shared. Might unshare it in the future, but I'm leaving it up until the end of the year, at least). Anyway, my new story is called Keepers of the Skyward Stones! It's using a story idea I had a while ago that I never really went anywhere with. It's one of the one ideas I've had over the years that would actually fit right in with Scratch webcomics, yet still stand out from the rest. It's set in a fantasy world where all land is in the sky, and people use airships (and sometimes, giant birds!) for transportation. You're probably thinking, "She's just going to procrastinate on this, too." Maybe you're right. But I know I'll probably work on it more often. Why? I'm planning to draw it in Scratch bitmap. As a result, the drawings will not take as long, they will look more consistent, and I will be posting chapters more often. I will also make reminders so that I can work on it every day. This time, I'm treating it as a fun but chill side project. Once and a while, I'll work on it beside Resonance Rising (not cancelling it as a whole, but working on it IRL). I might even post short chapters, or just update the same project with new panels every so often. My point is, I think it's a good project that I can work on once and a while. I still wouldn't count on receiving chapters every week, but there's a possibility I'll get a huge motivation burst and post a ton. I don't know, we'll see. That's all I have to say for now! If you have any questions, let me know in the comments :} P.S., tysm for 500+!!!! I am losing my mind thinking about it<333 (I would've never guessed I would reach this milestone when I first joined 6 years ago on a different account)
