Kaidrond are slightly taller than the average human. Kaidrond are well known for their speed and agility. They are highly intelligent, and can remember many things for years on end. Appearance wise, they typically are slender, with thick fur on the back of their neck. They have two tall, fox-like ears that independently move, useful for helping them detect sound. They have fatty reptilian tails tipped with thick fur. a new Kaidrond is born from crystalline structures that form on a dead Kaidrond's body. Kaidronds are quite common, surprisingly. Typically, they live for ~100 years. Kaidronds have a unique immune system, allowing them to combat various normally lethal infections, due to them evolving alongside the Feroks bacterium. Kaidrond traits: Required: -Tall, bat/fox-like ears -Male: Horns or Antlers -Mane -Must be Anthro. Feral optional, but they must have an anthropomorphic design. -EAR TUFTS. Inside or outside the ears. They must be present. -4 clawed fingers, 3 toes. -May only have 2 arms, 2 legs, and a tail. Wings, if present, must be combined with arms. Common: -Multiple eyes - Max of 8, Min of 2 eyes. -Webbed hands/feet. -Aquatic traits - Small domestic fish. -Paw pads. -Arctic fluff - Thicker fur all around body. Uncommon: -Aquatic traits - Larger domestic fish (no axolotls... Yet.), Small wild fish. -Horns/Antlers (Female) OR no Horns/Antlers (Male) -Feathers - Small feathers, anywhere. Large feathers, tail. Rare: -Aquatic traits - Axolotls, Sharks, Any wild fish. -Feathers - Large feathers (ex. Primaries on birds), anywhere. -Bioluminescence. -Parasites (plants growing on body) -Wings. Mutation: -Because of how variable these are, please ask for examples. -Fur mutations, such as Albinism, also classify as this. This includes any pigment mutation. Blacklisted (non-eligible for for A Flower That Never Blooms cameos, or Kaidrond events, but since Kaidronds are an open species, you may design one with these.) -Beaks. -Scales. -No fur. -No nose. -Any major changes to body - includes extra limbs. -Parts replaced with food. MUTATION LIST (new stuff dropped) -Useless additional limbs - tiny, paralyzed extra arms, usually the result of a chimera (two offspring who merged together while developing) but can also simply come from their unstable genetics from generations of having to rapidly evolve. -Aquatic traits - Deep-sea/fictional fish. -Mandibles - A small pair of bug-like mandibles. Can't exceed 25% of the head size for each mandible. -More TBA Bound Trait list: -Larger mandibles -Larger additional limbs -Beaks -Scales -No eyes Required for Bound: -Bounds are all linked to a hive mind. Despite this, some may retain their individual identity. -They must ALWAYS have sharper shapes. -They must also ALWAYS have green Bioluminescence. This doesn't use up a trait slot for Bioluminescence unless they already are using that trait for another color of Bioluminescence. Recent content drop: -New trait rarity - Bound - has dropped! This allows for Blacklisted traits, but may only be distributed via an up-coming writing event. -In Kaidrond lore, Bound traits are the result of a Kaidrond being infected by the aforementioned Feroks bacterium. This is due to the bacterium either A: adapting to be able to infect Kaidronds despite their overpowered immune system, or B: a mutation called "System Failure" in Kaidronds, which causes the Immune system to be weaker.
