minor spoilers for shera and the princesses of power, amphibia, the dragon prince, and resident evil 2 [ ive only seen the first 2 shows on that list so no spoilers ok ] --- ive been reevaluating the toxiphobia voice claims i did at one point and i realized that the old ones were not good [ not that the voices were bad. the voice actors do a wonderful job in their work. i just mean that looking back they dont sound even close to how i imagine them ] thankfully ive found new ones !!~ 1. malcolm: aaravos (the dragon prince) since mals russian i often, when searching for voice claims in the past, had no luck. many of the voice claims with russian accents i could find didnt sound very deep, and vice versa. but at this point i honestly feel that im focused a bit more on general delivery. accent, while still a priority, isnt the biggest one. that being said, this one sounds LOVELY. i think it captures how deep/menacing his voice can sound. while some of these clips were a bit too...villainous? sounding? i still think it fits well. 2. marissa - claire redfield (resident evil 2) i wanted her voice to embody an energy of like. protective friend. cause marissas def that type of friend to mal i was considering just keeping her blue diamond voice claim but i feel thats a bit TOO calm. yes she's very calm/quietly speaks around mal some of the time..but not ALL of the time. but yeah, this voice is really good. very cute 3. mandi (malcolms mother) - shadow weaver (she ra) i literally spent 30 minutes trying to decide which clips from a 3 minute section of a video to use. oh my god. the voice literally fits so well. the pitch, the condescending nature, THE SCREAMING??? IT FITS SO WELL and literally some of these lines i can IMAGINE HER SAYING [properly replacing character names ofc ] 4. francis (malcolms father) - king andrias (amphibia) its not like this voice claim is the MOST important- mals dad overall doesnt have a lot of dialogue in the lore [cause...i mean...hes dead] but i still thought itd be worth it to look for one. and i found a good one yippee~ 5. marvin (marissas father) - bob ross ok its 2am for me so i may be going a tad insane but unironically bob ross fits so well like. calm supportive whimsical dad energy. thats it. thats all im going for with marvin. AND DOES BOB ROSS NOT EMBODY THE ENERGY OF A CALM, SUPPORTIVE, WHIMSICAL DAD??? ALSO MARVIN WOULD DEF BE INTO SQUIRRELS. IM JUST SAYING. alright ive had enough, its past 3am im going to bed
