What feels like hours has passed since you took your place on the bench in the dark room, foot tapping on the smooth marble floor, anxiously awaiting your turn. As the door at the end of the hallway clicks, a sliver of light slips into the room, and a tribute exits without a word. The oddly antiquated loudspeaker, which is situated above the large door, then crackles to life and calls your name. At least the wait is over. Standing up quietly, you feel the gazes of the other tributes follow you as you pull open the door and enter the lair of the Gamemakers, unaware of what is to come. Upon entering the vast room, the fluorescent lights above are so much brighter than those of the waiting room that it takes a moment for your eyes to adjust. The floor consists of cool, metal vents that span the entire room. Although the walls are not vents, there are multiple large tunnels on each side, and you are unsure of what their purpose is until you are hit with a jet of hot air. From below, a blast of cold air hits you, and as you look at the panel of Gamemakers situated on one of the walls above, a Gamemaker chewing on a shrimp points at the center of the floor, where a balloon begins to drift up, up, up, and away. Each tribute has now been assigned a varying balloon/object to retrieve before the end of their session. After being caught, tributes will face even more wind, and they will have to keep hold of the balloon (at least one minute) until the Gamemakers switch off the wind. District 1: Gold Foil Balloon District 2: Balloon Sword District 3: Clear Balloon District 4: Pufferfish Balloon District 5: Yellow Balloon District 6: Balloon with Printed Train District 7: Balloon with Printed Tree District 8: Sheep Balloon District 9: Brown Balloon District 10: Red Balloon District 11: Green Balloon District 12: Plastic Bag Write a short closed roleplay based on the prompt/description provided above to be entered in the Gamemakers. The Gamemakers are the biggest opportunity for your tribute to up their raffle chances, out of 12 points. They are not graded on writing quality, but rather, how your tribute interacts with the environment. Gamemakers will be due 7/13 at the end of the day. You will likely receive a grade in the following week. Extensions are not offered as all training events are optional; this is a hard deadline to ensure the round goes by smoothly without mods having to backtrack and possibly extend the training time. Do not forget: you must remix this project, with your tribute's name first in the title, and post your entry to be considered. Otherwise, your entry will not be read or graded. Please also place your tribute's name and District above your Gamemaker entry to help us grade!
