For those of you who don't know, 大人のオンナの占い手帳 (which roughly translates in English to "Women's Fortune Telling Pocket Notebook") was a cancelled Nintendo DS game. It is the first known instance of avatars resembling Mii characters being utilized, and, despite never being publicly released, it would go on to heavily influence the concept of the Mii characters, even being confirmed to have been the very inspiration for the Wii's Mii Channel. Although the proper concept of Miis wasn't fully developed yet, and the avatars did not have a collective name, 大人のオンナの占い手帳 would later be reworked into another Nintendo DS game called Tomodachi Collection. The interface used for this game would heavily inspire that for the Mii Maker used on the Nintendo 3DS. While no connection is confirmed, Nintendo, in collaboration with Jamsworks, would release another fortune-telling game for the Nintendo DS, being called DS 占いの生活 (roughly translating to DS Fortune Telling).
