usually i would make a post like this in my comments but SCREW IT. i have started reading stephen king's "IT" and it's a literary masterpiece. theres so many little details and thoughts and each character is so mundane but CRAFTED to perfection. you feel and you hurt and you want and i've never cared so much about a book in this way where i physically CANNOT speed read it. it's so amazing. and the horror is done so damn well, like it's so horrible and sad. it's SAD horror. i think, yeah, it's gross. but mostly it's sad. sure, you can focus on how gross it is, but you can't cause you just feel HORRIBLE. you feel mad and sad and upset and love and all of it. there are gay characters. period typical homophobia, yes, but there are QUEER characters. i don't have a favorite character, but i have a soft spot for eddie with his asthma and sad future. i like richie a lot too, he reminds me of myself in some ways (except, i don't think you'd call me a trashmouth. i think the voices though.) i love bill and his writing, and i think king depicts his grief in such a HEART WRENCHING way. and that isn't a spoiler unless you decided you were going to read up to page two and quit. ben hanscom, lovely guy. and beverly, baby, she really deserves so much more. so much more. i've definitely missed some, but you get what 'm saying. i'm on page 230. theres over 1100. but i love it. everyone should read it. that probably made close to no sense but ive really wanted to say all that. read it!!! trust me!!!!!:-)
