Battle: The Khalkud have set up in their shieldwall formation in the tightest part of the pass, if the Prěvna want to destroy this insurrection their going to have to go through here, the Galgalur Pass is the safest route to the Khalkud capital of Rakel. If the Prěvna can force their way through they will in act vengeance on the upstart Sultanate. The remains of the Prěvna horse archers deploy at the front of the line in their usual loose formation, they are lead by Hortu himself who is in the centre of the formation with his elite skeleton warriors. Once the Prěvna are just in front of the Khalkud shieldwall they make ready to fire their powerful composite bows which should tear straight through the hide shields of the Khalkud. But the Khalkud have positioned their 3,000 riflemen on the heights above the pass, they open fire on the horse archers just before they fire their bows, killing hundreds. The Prěvna are surprised and retreat back to the infantry, Hortu makes the quick decision to form a wedge, the plan is for the cavalry to smash a gap in the Khalkud wall, they will surely break at the sight of the skeleton warriors and then infantry can rush through the gap finishing them off. The cavalry charge straight at the wall of spears and shields expecting the soldiers to break formation like every other time the Prěvna fought the Khalkud, but it never happens. The war horses of the Prěvna while brilliantly trained refuse to impale themselves on the Khalkud spears, but the horses also cant run away, the infantry is pushing them towards the spears. As the infantry is squeezed together in the tight pass the riflemen basically dont even have to aim, they just keep firing. The Prěvna horses crushes many of its own infantry before tripping on the uneven ground and finished off by the Khalkud, Hortu himself is killed, his horse attempts to flee and gets its foot stuck in a hole throwing him off, he keeps fighting on foot, taking down 7 men before he is stabbed. While the front ranks of the Prěvna infantry are too close for the riflemen to shoot, the middle ranks are easy targets and begin routing, colliding with the back ranks who are trying to join the front ranks in melee, in the chaos the back ranks join the middle in their rout, by now the riflemen are out of bullets, some are so horrified by the amount of enemies they killed with such ease they have panic attacks. So far the western warriors hasn’t been involved in the fighting at all, as has most of the Khalkud army since only so many men fit in the tight pass. The western warriors, led by Khalkud guides were led through the far smaller and rugged Dermin Pass, emerging behind the Prěvna who they now charge, slaughtering the retreating troops, but quickly stop once they realise they aren’t much of a threat anymore. Seeing that they’re surrounded the remaining infantry surrender. Casualties: Khalkud 1,000 Prěvna The entire army, 30,000 dead, 4,000 captured
