19. Desensitizing Buckeye ---- Today I took buckeye out into the pasture and took a western saddle pad out with me. I had an event in 30 minutes but i've needed to get some work done with him forever. I took the saddle pad and lightly rubbed it against his withers, then did the same thing on the other side, then put the saddle pad on him. He didn't startle at first, but when I adjusted the saddle pad's position he he got a bit flinchy, although he didn't spook.
