The AAI AF-82 Bat was developed in 1979, first flight 1981. It was stealth-optimized, extremely fast, and flew very high. However, due to mismanagement the program failed, with 45 examples built before production ended in 1993. By 2010, only 22 remained active, and the aircraft was replaced by the AF-88 Khosrow in 2024.
