STUDIO: https://scratch.mit.edu/studios/51809266 i’ll be honest — I thought I was gonna get a 5 HELP… was I robbed? that will be for you to decide! for my next few posts starting tomorrow, i’ll be sharing the pieces I created for my 2025-2026 AP 2-D Art and Design portfolio! i’ll also be including some additional info + stuff I couldn’t talk about in my actual submission as well! hope you guys will enjoy looking at these pieces more than i suffered making them LOL — now for the important information, here’s the written evidence that i had to submit: Identify the inquiry that guided your sustained investigation. (essentially my portfolio’s thesis) > My SI seeks to explore the question "How can I use visual language to convey the emotions and experiences that I struggle to express verbally?" Growing up as someone with several forms of neurodivergence, I often faced difficulties with being understood. To find my voice, I examined how careful variation and subversion of style (12), unity (1), repetition (10), and other visual elements can be utilized to interrogate how both my identity and internal experience have shifted through time and context. Describe ways your sustained investigation developed through practice, experimentation, and revision. > When my Si began, many pieces I envisioned had been more centered around childhood (2, 14). However, as I encountered some difficult events this year, I found ways to weave specific current experiences into my portfolio (pieces 4, 8, 10). Additionally, I experimented with novel mediums, especially using acrylic for the first time (1). I gradually became more comfortable with depicting my physical self from my earlier-created pieces (1, 10) to my later ones (6, 12). Lastly, the pieces themselves went through several phases of development, as seen from the early composition concepts in 9 & 13. please do note that there is a super strict character limit in the written responses, so this was the ONLY context that I was allowed to give to all of these pieces… it’s rough out here alright, I think that’s all for now! see you guys soon! - - - art: me college board: giving me a four :( music: the cure by olivia rodrigo ALSO YAY THIS IS MY 100TH PROJECT!!
