Nightfall sat in the shallow part of the lake, staring into the water. His mind swirled with thoughts. He felt like a lot had happened very quickly. Night hadn't seen his mama in a while. He wasn't sure where she was. His claws dug into the rocks. His fur prickled with anxiety. He didn't want to think about that. "Everything is totally fine." he mumbled to himself. His mind wandered off to himself. Fall knew other cats went by different pronouns. He never sat down and thought about his own. Did he feel a different gender? He really didn't feel anything when it came to his gender. Nothing almost. Huh. That felt weird for him to think. Nice, but new. "Genderless..." he mumbled, "Weird..." A term came to his mind. Agender. That sounded right to him. He smiled, happy he figured out his gender. That just left pronouns. Night definitely liked he/him, those fit, but felt not enough. They/them? They thought about it. A nice addition to their pronouns. More fitting for him. They and he were both gendered though. It/its? It swished its tail as it thought. They liked adding it to his set of pronouns. Another idea crawled into their mind. Star smiled, happy something felt right. So they/he/it/star was what he had so far. Maybe more neopronouns would fit them? Swirl tested out different neopronouns on skyself. No, swirl and sky sounded wrong to star. Its face fell with disappointment. He stared into the water again, watching small fish swim by. It hummed lightly under its breath, barely audible. Star batted at a small fish but missed. Maybe what they chose was fine. Star's new pronouns definitely felt better. He smiled again, settling on they/he/it/star. One day they could question its pronouns, but for now, star was happy. Nightfall was happy they could know something. end! Nightfall now has they/he/it/star pronouns :)
