It’s peaceful thanks to the Champions for the most part, but it was never always like that. [as Fate is speaking, the camera zooms into the planet and forms into a map] Fate: [VO] These are the three continents of Champona itself, each continent holds four of the thirteen countries. The thirteenth, Asiki, is the middle of it all, the melting pot of our world. Our story begins, though, many, MANY years ago, when the Greatest Power created Champona and sent us, the Virtues, to govern certain aspects. [screen fades into a mural like representation of the six Virtues] Fate: [VO] These Dieties are very important to the balance of Champona. Specifically the three Sovereigns: I, the Sovereign of Fate, Space, and Time, the Sovereign of Destruction, Chaos, and Death and the Sovereign of Creation, Order, and Life. The three Patrons, the Patron of Love and Kindness, the Patroness of Mothers and Compassion, and the Patron of Feasts and Passion, are still important as they represent some aspects of life, but The Sovereigns have more responsibility than they do. [first mural fades into another second one showing the Virtues in a circle, all surrounding a ball of light- the table where they converse at] Fate: [VO] The Virtues soon and very quickly realized that, despite having forms that can let them walk around amongst the mortals, they couldn’t stay or help protect the mortals whose lives they were responsible for while also govern their dimensions to do their work as well. So, they made a deal: chose one of the mortals as their representative on Champona while the Virtues themselves worked in their dimensions. [mural fades into another mural of chaos across the lands of Champona and many people around and hands crawling at blood] Fate: [VO] But, what they seemed to have forgotten… they left. And what they left caused frustration amongst Death herself. You see, mortals, the Virtues had children and those children had children and soon many Virtue blooded mortals were roaming on Champona by the time the first Champions were chosen. [the mural fades and shows fire] Fate: [VO] A huge mistake. [the fire fades and shows Death in battle herself, triumphant] Fate: [VO] Death found it much trouble to even collect souls of those descended from the Virtues. She was frustrated as half the planet was one as well. So, she created a rule: A Virtue can no longer have children and anyone descended from the Virtues cannot be a Champion. And then came the extinction of the Self-Virtues.
