Built by Baldwin in 1917, No. 12 is a 3ft (0.9144m) gauge steam locomotive that worked on the ET&WNC for 33 years until narrow-gauge railroad operations stopped; all of 12's sisters were scrapped, but 12. Then on July 4th, 1957, in Blowing Rock, NC, the theme park called "Tweetsie Railroad" opened to the public for the purpose of preserving No. 12. As of now, 12 is 109 as of 2026 and still runs alongside 190 to this day.
