It's that time of year again. The election for President of the Galaxy is on July 16th and due to an obscure galactic law, no one can legally begin campaigning until ONE WEEK BEFORE. (We really need to fix that.) It's now up to Galactic Citizens to announce their candidacy and attempt to run for political office!! Gear up, you'll need to establish yourself as a member of a respectable party, find a vice president, prepare for debates, tour the galaxy, and avoid having any scandals leaked to the press!! (Or if they do, spin 'em.) Remix this with your candidate! Any species! IMPORTANT DATES: JULY 11th: DEBATE NIGHT JULY 14th: DEBATE NIGHT 2: THE DEBATENING JULY 16th: ELECTION DAY Oh, and since we're in space anything* you say is automatically true.
*Rules: 1. Anything you establish about the galaxy becomes true, be it about certain species, a law, an event, or otherwise, because it's a big galaxy, PROVIDED that it a. is not an absurd blanket statement like "literally everyone wears ice cream as a hat" (It would be better to say "the Globgardians wear ice cream as hats!!" or something.) b. is not directly about another candidate such as " candidate Snorg eats puppies!! And that's a fact!" (scandals will be a thing, but you have to WORK to uncover them.) You CAN *accuse* people of things based on stuff they say or their political platform, but it does not become true automatically. c. is not about religion. You can MENTION religion, or establish stuff, but anything religious about the nature of the universe is obscured and cannot be proven. Feel free to speculate or completely justify all your actions with religion though. d. It does not *directly* contradict something previously established. So if someone has already said that Flibgors are famous for mining, you can't establish that actually they aren't. You CAN and are encouraged to SUBVERT things though, like mention how Flibgors eat minerals and maybe letting them mine for fuel is a bad idea. (But hey, maybe that's specist! You see how this can get fun fast.) d. isn't weird or unfair. Lets all be PG-13 here. And if it feels like you're breaking the rules you're probably breaking the rules.
