Hey! So I haven’t really detailed the afterlife system of these foxes yet, so I decided to do it here! Foxes in my world turn into stars after they die, and how close they are to earth/how bright they are is determined by how good they were in life! foxes who were less righteous in life are further and dimmer, and better foxes and closer and brighter. (Although you CAN drift closer and burn brighter through redeeming yourself over time!) however, this begs the question- who’s the sun? The sun is Sol- the first Treen (fox’s ancient ancestors, basically foxes with dragon wings and rattlesnake tails.) to ever die, so he was assigned to watch over the world in the daytime and provide light. He has to go down to earth in the form of his old body at nighttime so that the stars can do their jobs, and generally is a prankster, watching our protagonists with playful interest, though never really intervening until book 18 happens. (Yes, I have 18 books planned) after all, he loves a good story and though he COULD help, it’s much more funny to watch the characters try to figure it out themselves. He isn’t all knowing or anything, but he does glow and is able to project light out like a screen. Anyways hope you like all the lore i just dropped plus the art :P
