How she found the loner's den and why she was giving them to Nine are both questions that came to mind, but based on the rancid smell they were all drenched in and the obvious desperation on Gaia's face, it wasn't important enough for her to ask. While she will still be around for emotional support and as refuge for them when they're older, she'll insist on them fully providing for themselves by their adulthood and will make sure to teach them all that they need to know in order to survive. One of those being that they should avoid mingling with Urchinclan at all costs due to their paw in the death of their older siblings. !
