i stayed up untill 3am to get this finished <3 !READ FIRST! hi :) this is an art entry for @StevenTheSquare 's art contests. it is in memory of my baby girl that i sadly lost a couple months ago. my sweet little puppy named Orien. i wrote a poem about her, to long with the art. (double spaces in between because i have dyslexia and cant re-read it) My poem(s) : A Lifetime of Love with Orian Twelve sweet years of growing up, With my shadow by my side, From the days when I was very small, To the secrets we would hide. You knew me, my whole entire life, A sister and a friend, With a love so deep and beautiful, That time can never end. I miss the way you used to play, So happy and so free, With your little love potion stuffy, As cute as it could be. You’d chase your mini soccer ball, Across the living room floor, And even though you’re resting now, In puppy heaven, I couldn’t love you more. I’ll keep your toys right by my bed, And hold your memory tight, My sweet, sweet girl, my Orian, Sleep well and sweet goodnight. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- I Miss You A click of paws upon the floor, A joyful rush toward the door. A wagging tail, a nose of wet, The truest friend I’ve ever met. You do not care about my flaws, You judge the world by simple laws: A ball to chase, a patch of sun, A daily walk, a breathless run. When shadows fall and days are long, Your quiet presence makes me strong. You rest your head upon my knee, And look with perfect love at me. A furry shadow by my side, With loyal heart and eyes so wide. The sweetest soul I'll ever know, No matter where our footsteps go, Oh how i miss you so, I love you
