hiii! im joining the contest NiVi hosted! it's an album cover/album concept contest (yall should join it bc it's suuuuper fun) I decided to do Ari <333 so here's my vision (get it?) so i got this pic from the app that starts with pin and ends with interest and pls ignore whatever context the real photo has lol but i used it as an album cover for my concept okay here are song breakdowns now (theyre pretty short tho) 1. too much - a song about knowing and seeing too much to handle, wishing she could unsee some things 2. 3 am - not getting enough sleep, used as a metaphor somehow ig 3. broken - sounds exactly like the title :P 4. photograph - kinda inspired by "You Don't Know Me" how the photographs aren't her full self 5. laugh it off - a sarcastic song about laughing everything off, more upbeat 6. visions - ah, the title track. it's about having visions for the future and seeing visions from the past, but never being able to focus on the present. visions about love, loss, and life. 7. catch me (in your arms) ft. The Weeknd - a love song bc i feel like if this is an ariana grande album there's gotta be some romance lol so this one is about the false assumption that a boyfriend can make it all better. and ft The Weeknd bc they lwk sound so good together 8. violins - kinda like a prologue before delusional. it's about hearing violins like something good was gonna happen, something romantic and something that will help fix things. 9. delusional ft. Olivia Rodrigo - the aftermath of violins; things went all wrong, the boyfriend is gone, and now all she has left is delusion. and i thought Olivia Rodrigo would be PERFECT for this song bc she's good at doing songs that are the balance between overdramatic and not dramatic enough, so it'll feel rly balanced and i lwk wanna hear this song now lol 10. pause (interlude) - just a little break to recollect. i imagine the song to definitely be a little less emotional than the rest of the album and almost refreshing to hear (and ofc it's shorter since it's an interlude) 11. poor eyesight - contradicting to visions, it shows that she has metaphorical poor eyesight and that she can't see what's wrong (poor eyesight for love and people, being too trusting). 12. wear the filter - how nothing changes by wearing a filter. 13. mending - getting over things, just healing. i imagine the song to be a lot more dreamy and reflective on how many times things have broken and healed, the same scar every single time. 14. restless - how she won't give up, and will always be restless to fix things, restless to find the perfect love, restless with her visions of the future and making them come true. okay i feel REALLY awkward now... i think i put in too much drama for one album that isn't even gonna come out lol it's just a concept ToT okay im gonna wrap up this description before i embarrass myself any further :') byeeeeee!
