To the person who thought laughing at someone's death was comedy, Congratulations. You managed to confuse cruelty with a personality trait. Mocking someone who died doesn't make you edgy. It doesn't make you fearless. It doesn't make you funny. It just tells everyone around you that your idea of "humor" is kicking people who can't even defend themselves. Imagine looking at a family grieving. Imagine looking at friends who miss that person every single day. Imagine looking at people whose lives were permanently changed by that loss... and deciding, "Yeah, this is the perfect setup for a joke." That's not dark humor. Dark humor still understands where the line is. What you did was treat someone's real pain like it existed for your entertainment. You don't know who that person was. You don't know what they meant to the people who loved them. You don't know the empty chair, the missed birthdays, the memories that still hurt. Yet somehow you felt entitled to laugh at all of it. If your goal was attention, congratulations—you got it. Just probably not the kind you imagined. Most people hear something like that and think, "What is wrong with this person?" One day, I hope you grow enough to look back on what you said and cringe. Not because someone forced you to apologize, but because you finally understand that empathy isn't weakness. It's the bare minimum. Until then, keep confusing shock value with wit if you want. The rest of us will keep remembering our loved ones with the respect they deserve. You didn't insult the person who died. You showed everyone exactly who you are.
