Chapter 1: One day at Gardenview, Diliala called Dandy down for a meeting. “L01?” she said looking straight at Dandy, “I have something for you to see.” “What is it?!” Dandy said cheerfully, jumping up and down, “Is it a new friend? Or, or a new tape we could film?” “Neither,” said Diliala bluntly, “You know the vintage toons?” “Oh! Oh! Yes, I do! A-are we formally introducing them?!” Dandy asked eagerly, still very excited and jumping. “No,” she said disappointed. “They were… to say the least, not very cooperative..” She gestured to the toon sheet “Arthur made these,” looking a little angry "and was very hesitant…” She mumbled under her breath and looked a little more cheerfully at Dandy, ”Why don’t you take a look?” Dandy took a step forward, very hesitant, “O-oh.. Ok!” Dandy said while trying to sound cheerful, “S-sure Dede! Anything for you!” and put on a small smile. “Anything…?” she said. “You can always count on me!” said Dandy, and he still has a big fake smile. “Thank you, L01, now you can look,” said Diliala, looking a little more reassured. Dandy looked at the sheets cautiously and wondered what else could be on them. But when he looked, he was paper white and looked almost scared. “Wait, this must be some joke, right..? Some prank…? Dede… you can’t be telling me… your… making new versions of the toons???” Diliala looked fake disappointed. “Yes dandy, what about it?” she said, “You said you would do anything for me.” Dandy looked hesitant, “Is this really worth it?” he thought. “You said anything Dandy,” Diliala said, looking fake disappointed and sad. “And you are always so kind and true to your friends, why not to me?” “i just…” Dandy trailed off, overcome by guilt. He looked at Diliala, who was still performing the fake act. “....... fine” Diliala’s disappointed act fell and went into a smile that didn’t quite reach her eyes. “I knew no one could replace you!” Diliala said in a fake cheerful tone. “Yay..” Dandy said sadly. “Can I see my friends?” he said hopefully. “Of course L01, go see your friends.” said Diliala with very slightly smirk
