But im gonna explain it yayyy (I’ll be using the they/them pronouns because switching up in between is uhh idk blehhh) ok uh those weird blob things are just clots of Fae bIood (they’re so low quality uhhh) When maris was human they literally HATED IT SO MUCH they illegally crossed into the Qiliang Gardens and met up with the Anemone Witch so they could be reborn and erased. they chose to be reborn as Fae cuz uh their cool Fae buddy Clematis was ten billion times better than them so they thought that becoming Fae was the only way to better themself since being human had too many restrictions The Anemone Witch had advised them that erasing them from the entire world would take like a LOT of power so some of the Witch’s DNA would get caught in the mix since she would have to use some of her own life force, hence the lil fishy tail thing yayyy. She lwk wasn’t against it since Maris was the 2nd person to make it into the Gardens (1st one being our favorite salamander Angus) and applauded their dedication, so uh yeah Was it selfish, rewriting the universe for one person? Uhhh yes.
