Pokemon yapping time /jjj I think I broke my brain diving into Gen 1 naming ambiguities and now I have no idea if since red’s counterpart is ash, red’s mother is the same as ash’s but also if green exists alongside red or if it’s leaf. Does leaf/green even exist in the anime? Idk but pokemon masters lists her as Leaf but let’s go pikachu/eevee calls her green so does that mean Green exists in red’s reality but leaf exists in a universe where she is red? Is Blue called Green due to the Japanese versions? Idk lol. My opinion is that leaf is red from an alternative universe and green is just some girl in red’s universe who is just existing and missed out on masters. But also you have the freedom to name the characters so does that mean they even have canon names?! Wait but Sun/moon says they’re Red and Blue (or Green if it’s Japanese I think-) I haven’t played Sun/Moon tho lol also I really like the gen 1 characters and I think my brain is fried. Also pokemon adventures calls her green (i think bc a friend read it and told me about it) and why the heck does red talk in the comic when in the games he doesn’t speak at all (apart from occasionally like in masters he stated that words aren’t necessary but I haven’t played lol but I might-) And also if pokemon was real red would be dead because he wears a FRIGGIN T-SHIRT under his jacket and broski is on a flipping mountain. HELLO??
