I was thinking about it, and then I realised; my personal beliefs are almost entirely centered around the ideals of Liberty and Liberalism. To me, Liberty is the greatest value, ideal, etc. Liberty is the concept where people are free to live however they want. Most people HATE Liberty. In the "West", Liberty is DEAD. "You will live how I want you to live!" Liberalism is the only civilised way of thinking. Otherwise, we end up with Protestants and Catholics slaughtering each other all over again. Nobody should be forced to live a certain way. I think I take this to the extreme. You should be able to do messed up crap like cannibalism if you only eat those who want to engage in it. Anyone who doesn't want to live that life should be free from the tyranny of being forced to eat or be eaten. Humanity needs organisation to survive, but big organisations kill Liberty. Liberty can only thrive under small organisations, where everyone who wants to live a similar way can thrive. There is room for everyone and every way of life in this universe. Communists, Fascists, Anarchists, etc, see Liberalism as a threat. As their enemy. Liberty isn't. You all can have your own messed up world, just not near me please. America was born from Liberal ideals, but now has become quite the opposite. We don't even THINK about Liberty. We just force our way of life onto each other. Liberalism isn't "No rules", it's "You can have the rules you want". Forcing the legalisation or banning of say, Abortion/Guns, across ALL of America isn't very Liberal. The Liberal answer would be "It's up to local areas". While forced legalisation everywhere would be slightly more liberal than banning it everywhere, that can't really be considered "Liberalism".
