{Setting: Space-Time Distortion} Silver, flying alongside Sonic and Shadow, takes in a deep breath as Solaris comes into view. The god stares directly at them with its fiery eyes. Despite the distance, the hedgehogs can still hear the voices of their allies down below on the alter… Dr.Eggman: That body of light is the sign of a super-dimensional life form. Standard attacks won’t work on him! He eats dimensions for lunch! Shadow: A super-dimensional being, huh? Heh, this might even be a fair fight. Dr.Eggman: But…there should be something that’s anchoring him in this dimension. That’s probably the light shells that can be seen on his body. If all of those are destroyed, he can be defeated! Silver: *thinks: “Light shells”?* Observing the being, Silver notices of the darker glowing armor casing around Solaris’ arms, upper torso, and head. Silver: *thinks: That must be what Eggman’s talking about—* Solaris howls as his enemies grow closer, then portals begin to open up near him. Spiked purple lava rocks hurl out from the portals right for the hedgehogs, but they split up and soar off in different directions to avoid the attack. Sonic and Shadow fly around Solaris as they charge up their power for their attacks, while Silver catches the lava rocks. Silver: This will be your end, Solaris! Flinging the lava rocks back, Solaris puts up his arm to guard his chest, and the attack smashes into his arm. After charging, Shadow yells out as he hurls multiple arrows of red light for Solaris. The god guards again and his other arm gets struck. Together, Shadow and Silver strike Solaris’ arms repeatedly, causing the armor to crack. Another booming howl rings out. Solaris shoots a laser out, waving the beam in an attempt to strike both Shadow and Silver, but they both dodge. With the god’s focus on them, Sonic readies himself, and rockets right for Solaris’ chest. When the two collide, Solaris recoils as it lets out a cry. The cracks on his armor grow. Knuckles: Don’t hold back! Let him have it, Silver!! Silver puts up a shield of light to block Solaris’ attacks, then grabs more of the lava rocks and slams them into Solaris’ arm. The armor on his limb shatters to pieces. Rouge: You can do it, Shadow! Shadow grips his hand tight, then flings it out as he hurls the arrows of light for Solaris again. The other arm is struck and the shell over it breaks as well. Amy: Don’t let him beat you, Sonic!! Sonic: *grins as he sees Solaris turn his attention to him, then release a low threatening bellow* Let’s see how long you can keep up that big attitude! Solaris sends out a beam as Sonic blasts towards him. In the blink of an eye, Solaris tries to catch Sonic in the laser, but the hedgehog coasts along the edge to dodge it, and slams into Solaris’ chest. They all watch as Solaris is knocked back again. The remaining casing around his body breaks apart, causing the eagle face and antlers of the creature fall away along with the rest of the shell. Shadow: *narrows his eyes in a focused manner as he sees the fire go out from Solaris’ eyes* With a groan, Solaris slowly seems to collapse, and fall through the void with his arms held out. The hedgehogs hang back and watch as their friends hold their breath. Silver: *has a yearning look as he watches Solaris’ body contort* …is it over? Shadow: *sees a glow come from the god, and wings beginning take form from Solaris’ back* No! It’s not over yet! Streaks of light shoot up into the sky from Solaris, illuminating the distortion. The body of the god shifts and alters, making him nearly unrecognizable from his first form. With the harden shell gone, this new body almost entirely is pure light. Upon changing forms, Solaris soars back up, and stretches out his new wings and limbs. He lets out another howl that shakes the entire distortion with its power. Silver grits his teeth in frustration, but Sonic simply smiles at the imposing sight. Sonic: *shrugs* I guess it’s not going to be that easy. Raising his arms, Solaris sends out multiple beams from his body, making the hedgehogs have to quickly dodge, weaving through the rays of light. Dr.Eggman: Ngh! Is it impossible to defeat a super-dimensional being after all?! Elise: *thoughtful tone* No…something’s different. I can feel a large, powerful consciousness coming from Solaris! Dr.Eggman: What?! A consciousness?! Hmm…that’s it! That’s his core! Silver: *thinks as he dodges another blast: His what?* The super trio all look to Solaris, and in the center of his glowing ethereal body, no longer concealed by the shell, is a round, flaming red core. It’s completely exposed, making a clear opening, but Solaris’ attacks intensify in defense. Dr.Eggman: Even if we can’t stop his form, we can stop his consciousness!
