✧ PEAKCLAN’S STUDIO: https://scratch.mit.edu/studios/51809273 ✧ ✧ ✧ taking a brief break from introducing more cats and posting my ap portfolio to bring some more content about our familiar kitties! wait a second… one of them doesn’t look so familiar… ——— [CONTENT WARNING: DEATH] despite the beauty and vastness of peakclan’s territory, life has its challenges… namely, the clan’s ongoing conflict with their neighbor, chasmclan. about a year and a half ago, the rivalry had shaken peakclan to its core. the day had seemed normal: it was a crisp winter morning, and it had been moons since the last skirmish on the border. peace had, at last, seemed within reach. as such, the hunting patrols of the day began to file out into the shimmering snow-covered landscape. the first cause of worry was the clouds on the horizon. what had once been a bright morning was beginning to darken: dark, imposing clouds had begun to loom over the landscape, and before long, the storm had arrived. it wasn’t just any storm though: instead of rain, it brought thick sheets of snow — so opaque that even the cats at camp could no longer see their own paws. and the hunting patrols were still out. among them, whom you may recognize, were hollystar (who was still the deputy at the time and thus had gone by a different name), mothbite, and sharpsight. the other patrol parties had included the clan’s leader and multiple other warriors, who had split up before the storm to scout different locations, but were now utterly lost in the sea of blinding flurries and biting winds. a screech broke the air. the blizzard was beginning to thin out, and at last, holly’s patrol could make out the shape of two cats: mothbite’s father and… oh no. the group lunged forward in horror, hoping break the fighting cats apart… but it was too late. the patrol watched their clanmate go limp, and his killer did nothing but stare at them for a moment until disappearing into the snow. obviously, none of the cats took this well. mothbite remained hunched over the body, wailing. sharpsight, mortified, walked off to get away from the scene. holly was running back to camp to find aid. unfortunately, that’s not where it ended. as sharpsight walked, she kept catching glimpses of something dark in the corner of her eye. it almost looked like… she prepared to lunge. no. it couldn’t be. it must’ve only been a trick of the light, as every time she turned, the shape would disappear. as the storm slowly continued to dissipate, she began to make out the shape of a cat ahead of her. her leader! she sped up, relieved, until something dashed out from behind her, at what seemed to be an /unnaturally/ fast pace, and swiftly lunged at the cat before she could react. at the same time, the wind picked up again, and she tumbled into a snowbank, unable to do anything but watch as the clan’s leader struggled and fell as each life was taken. she could make out who the culprit was now, and to her horror, the cat who’d been stalking her through the snow was all too familiar. [REDACTED]. ugh. the name had made her sick just to think about. — the clan was trying to manage. their new leader, hollystar, had also been ambushed on her way back to camp that day, but, thanks to the care of freezefoot, had miraculously survived. she named sharpsight as the new deputy, but while holly was recovering, she had assumed the role as unofficial leader in the meantime. she didn’t care about the honor, though. the image of [?] laying in the snow — her leader, and despite their differences, her kin — was glued to her mind. more than that, though, was the face of [REDACTED]. watching her as she helplessly cried. laughing. what kind of sick “game” was this? it should have ended long ago. ——— the comic directly follows this event, where sharpsight has taken over leading the clan. hoping to hunt down the two cats responsible for the murders that day, she finds a now-reclusive mothbite, who, as she discovers, has a different idea of revenge than she does. this is, as stated, about a year and a half before the present day! a lot has happened since this, and the success of the mission is.. well… you’ll find out soon enough. ——— on a less serious note, i added some extra doodles of the clan’s other members! two of them haven’t been introduced yet, but i think you guys will like them :) kittens! additionally, we have freezefoot and his apprentices… are his teaching practices a little dubious? definitely… has he gotten in trouble yet? well, yes… but not enough for him to lose his job! —- art: me music: olivia rodrigo (i’m committing to the bit of only using songs from her album for these projects)
