{Setting: Space-Time Distortion} The beams of light fade, letting Shadow focus on charging up an attack, but when he hurls the arrows again, right for the core…Solaris puts up a shield of light, causing the arrows to reflect off from it. Despite that, as the portals grow in numbers, Silver catches more ammo and flings it at Solaris, but a shield knocks away his attack as well. Silver: *thinks: Darn! This isn’t working! We’ll have to attack when Solaris does so he can’t put up a shield!* Their friends and allies look on in anticipation as Solaris sends out another attack, barely missing the hedgehogs as multiple beams cut through the sky. Silver weaves through the moving rays again as he grabs what lava rocks he can, but as he throws them, most are burned away by the beams of light. Shadow is met with a similar result as his arrows get obliterated. Sonic soars around Solaris, searching for an opening, but the god’s back is guarded, covering the core, and the front is shielded by the gleaming onslaught. Solaris’ attack fades away again, appearing to leave an opening, but Sonic doesn’t go for it. A thoughtful expression is across his face. Silver: *breathes heavily as his brow furrows* …what are going to do? We can’t reach the core when he puts a shield up, but our attacks can’t reach him when he’s attacking us…now what?! Sonic: *serious look as he continues thinking* … *looks out in the distance where the other two hedgehogs are flying* Shadow! Silver! Shadow & Silver: ! *give Sonic their attention* Sonic: No more hanging back! We take our next attacks right to him, and we make it count! Give it everything you’ve got!! Shadow nods in agreement, but Silver’s expression wavers with a faint uncertainty. Though the passion to finish this fight once and for all burns in his chest, avoiding the lasers alongside the increasing flung debris at a distance had already proven difficult, but up close? Was it even possible? Silver: *soars around Solaris as he charges up energy, but steadily his mind starts to fill with doubt, and a knot forms in his chest* … His failure to seal away Iblis prods at his mind, as well as his failure to see through Mephiles’ manipulation— his inability to defeat Shadow on his own. It all tugs at him…along with another deep pain and sense of regret he can’t place. Silver: …I…I need to do this— everyone is depending on us! But I… Amy: *calls out to him in a pleading tone* Silver, please! Protect everyone’s future! Silver’s eyes widen as he hears her voice, then he recalls Blaze smiling at him as she wished him luck. And as Amy’s voice repeatedly ring in his ears…it fades to another similar voice…that he doesn’t recognize in his mind, but his heart softens at the recollection of it. “Do not lose hope. You can do it, Silver. We believe in you.” Silver: … *his gaze sharpens with a determined look, and grips his hands tightly. He spots Solaris gearing up for his next attack, and readies himself* I WILL PROTECT THE FUTURE! Shadow: *comes to a stop as he prepares enough energy. He gets in a ready stance as well, staring down Solaris* I’ll release you from the chains of your past! Sonic: *flies in between Shadow and Silver, as they all three face Solaris, then points directly at the god without a shred of fear in his eyes* The present day, the here and now that you’ve stolen…TIME TO TAKE IT BACK! Solaris responds with a deep, booming howl, and sends out another barrage of light. Together, the three hedgehogs split up, with Sonic diving right for Solaris’ center, and Shadow & Silver coming at him from the sides. They swiftly navigate the maze of moving rays as the beams close in on them, and dodge lava rocks hurled in their path. Silver: *catches lava rocks and rears them back* Shadow: *readies his hand as his eyes narrow* Elise: Sonic! I believe in you! Sonic: *smirks as Solaris’ core comes into view* Shadow & Silver yell out and hurl their attacks. The arrows, the lava rocks, all collide into the core, as Sonic strikes it. With a strong blast, the core explodes, causing Solaris to cry out, and his body to strain in agony. As his form deteriorates…arrows of light shoot out from his body. Down below on the altar, celebration has begun. Rouge raises her fist with a smile as Omega raises his hand as well. Tails and Knuckles wear gleeful smiles, turning to one another to high-five. Even Dr.Eggman wears a thankful look as he crosses his arms. Elise: *kneeling on the ground with her hands clasped* Amy: *runs up to Elise and gives her a bright grin as she puts her hand on her shoulder* Elise: *beams at Amy, then looks up and stands as a bright light comes down towards them* Sonic, Shadow, and Silver land back onto the altar, and gaze up to bear witness to Solaris’ fall alongside the others.
