kinda buggy as of now but i think it's cute! ads are allowed in the comments but don't be aggressive, no spamming just say it once bud ~how to play~ PLEASE READ TO PREVENT ENCOUNTERING BUGS you receive a mysterious birthday note signed "anonymous" and decide you must figure out who gave you this card. run around your birthday party and interact with guests to find out who wrote that card! use arrow keys to move. click space to progress dialogue. click on characters or items to interact with them. when reading the letter, press space to exit.
~please read!~ this is an entry for Alex_best025's birthday competition, so happy birthday to you and enjoy! (anyone can play this though :D) i've also hidden a bunch of easter eggs throughout this game, so have fun finding them and comment if you do! ~credits~ the idea, code, and art are entirely my own. but i did use some images or inspiration from the internet, such as the drawing on carrie's book, which is art from a real pride and prejudice book cover: https://goodandbeautifulbooklist.com/book/pride-and-prejudice/ the music is "Jump!" by @PaulRHJT, he creates amazing music that is free to use for scratchers, highly recommend to check him out!! ~bugs~ -ducky's eyes are slightly out of place when he moves, i'm trying to fix it but it's not in my priorities sometimes when you start the game, ducky's eyes do not follow his body. i have no idea why this happens. if you encounter this bug, i'm really sorry but there's no fix yet. maybe reload the page?? -ducky is still able to move through rooms while dialogue is going. not a priority but not ideal -once you have passed by the card, you can't read it again and if you want to you have to restart the game, sorry :( i had to make it like this to fix a much bigger bug -sometimes things get out of order in their layers, aka random stuff is on top of things when it should be below. -the salad bowl is crushing some of the other ingredients, but i don't have the time or brainpower to craft a solution comment if you find any more bugs and i will try to fix em
