Beating The Heat | An Update - Helloo, horse comm! I’m trying out a new RRP-style format for my updates, so let me know what you think of it! I opened the stall door, and Trigger’s ears immediately perked up. He shoved his muzzle into my hot, sweaty hands. “Come on, bud,” I murmured as I slipped the headstall on. As soon as we left the stable, I let him trot ahead toward the woods. He clearly knew where he wanted to go. 80-degree weather at 9:00 in the morning is no joke. He snorted and tossed his head, fly season is absolutely insane right now. “They bothering you? I should’ve brought some spray,” I said. A few minutes later, I leaned back in the saddle. “Woah…” I breathed as we reached the creek. Cold water splashed across my face. Just as I was about to loosen the reins and let him take a drink, he suddenly buckled his legs and rolled straight into the water. “Jeez, Louise, bud! You could’ve given me a warning!” I laughed, climbing back to my feet in my now soaking-wet clothes. “You better be thankful it’s this hot!” Credits | @retro-mushroom @mythtopianpegasus @mangosaresoyummy @lucywestspeed @-theconjuring
