Deluxe Chess by @KoalaKoding is a complete and polished chess games on Scratch, featuring both one and two player modes with varying difficulties. Instructions: Play against a friend or challenge the computer on Easy, Normal, or Hard difficulty. Select one of your pieces, then choose a highlighted space to move. Each type of piece has its own movement rules: Pawns: Move forward but capture diagonally. Knights: Move in an L-shaped pattern and can jump over other pieces. Bishops: Move diagonally. Rooks: Move horizontally and vertically. Queens: Move in any straight direction. Kings: Move one space in any direction. The goal is to checkmate your opponent’s king by placing it under attack with no legal way to escape. The game can also end in a draw if neither player can force a win or no legal moves remain without the king being in check. Pawns that reach the opposite side of the board can be promoted to another piece. For better performance, hold Shift while clicking the green flag to run the project in Turbo Mode.
