We don't really know. ⬡ The orange stuff is just part of him, likely what brought them to life in the first place. (inspired by the infection in Hollow Knight) ⬡ They only have that one giant hand. (Like Winner) ⬡ Can retract their hand, legs, and even eyes to appear as a simple ball of moss. ⬡ Although made of a non-Newtonian fluid, its hand is surprisingly strong and dexterous. ⬡ Despite its short legs, they can run quite fast. (for whatever reason) ⬡ Despite the fact that I had two images pulled up as references for Mossball, I didn't really use them. I didn't even look at my own hand to draw the hand. ⬡ Used the brush tool to shape everything on the moss itself except for the eye circles, the circle that fills in the moss, and the shadow on the legs. ⬡ I actually wanted to not add outlines at first, but when I tried it, it instantly looked a lot better. So here. ⬡ I was originally gonna put this little guy up for auction in OAH as a lotto dude, but I loved it too much.
