“You never know 8bits. Maybe he is your long-lost brother. 0_0 Or maybe he's mine. I'm talking about the wizard. No one knows why Jerry is here or why he is in existents.” -@SHARKEE_7 Welcome to Scratch Theory, where the lore is more sus than the buttons B) I have a lot of time on my hands. So I did a theory on the myth, the legend, the cosmic chaos himself, @-8bitsOfAwesome-! Love him or hate him, you cannot avoid this guy, even if you actually could. There’s not a lot of info about this oc, and for good reason, too. Whatever he does say, it’s either very clear, very cryptic, or very, very concerning. There’s always been a lot of mystery about the guy, but that (hopefully) changes today :D What is he, exactly? He isn’t man-made, and certainly isn’t natural, so he couldn’t have came from Earth. There might be reasons for that, like 8bits might’ve been born on another planet, or bioengineered by another species. He could’ve existed in other timelines for all we know. The main thing is something had to create him, whether it was his mom, a petri dish, or a monster spawner. (We’ll get back to that ;) The first project that has anything interesting going on is this one (#939913559), with a really cool drawing of him with hands and shoes, blasting blue-tinted light-emitting blasts at @--Loot--. More importantly, in the comments, 8Bits mentions this: “Probably. But, Bit's only in his base form at the moment. If he powered up any further, all of the snow and ice on the planet would melt. Any further than that, and he could melt the whole solar system! Or even the galaxy! :0” That could mean several things (has more than one form, contains and can harness a set amount of ‘power’, is aware of the consequences of his actions, familiar with video game references, name/nickname is Bit) but more importantly, brings up some problems: : Did he mean *earth*’s* solar system? Usually, “solar system” implies earth, and when plural (“other solar systems”) it means other planet systems. There’s not enough info to know, but if referring to earth specifically, it’s possible to pinpoint the planets he was talking about. He’s probably referring to his home planets, but who knows? : This is the first out of several cases where he talks in third-person, unless it’s not him talking at all! (also more on this later!) Remember when I said that 8bits was dead? Well, I might be wrong on that (). Rechecking the source shows that he died at August… 32nd(?) Nowhere in Western History did *any* calendar have 32 days (minus that one time in Asia, 5 BC). The time was 12:61(?), PM. With further logic, this had to be an intentional choice (How would he have accidentally did this, knowing the Long DateTime format AND the Gregorian Calendar?) Maybe he lied about his date of death? Maybe he never died? Can he die? Maybe (most likely) the orbit of his home planet is different from Earth’s, hence different calendars? Maybe he never really existed? Hopefully, there might be answers in the future. This project () is where things get really interesting. It features a quadrupedal green beast of sorts jumping up and down. More importantly, in the notes and credits textbox says this: “Second only to my true most favourite creation... Bit.” - (if this is canon) 1#: Who’s talking here? It doesn’t make sense that the gameboy is speaking, or the green thing. It must be the creator (who made both 8bits and the other creature, and maybe even other beings!) Maybe, just maybe, when 8bits talks in 3rd person, it’s actually not him talking, but the “creator” talking *through* him! Go ahead and check with comments he said in 3rd person. Crazy, right? Does he want to do this? Does he have a choice? Why speak through him, specifically? It’s possible that 8bits might be so powerful not because of what he does, but because of what someone else does in him… Unfortunately, there is still a lot of mystery around this sona :( But hey, that’s just a theory, a Scratch Theory! Thanks for reading. This is fun, I should do more of these :) and next?
