Background blue birds are named Lavender Whiteleaf, Peony Barkman, and Nettle Sunbranch. Other orange birds are named Penelope Raindrop and Jake Woodwind.
I made up something about Phil Violetwing: In this version of the story, Phil's dad was what the blue birds called a "sunfeather", and sometimes they would bully Phil's dad, who was named Jacob. Jacob used blue paint to disguise as a blue bird (called a "skyfeather") when he met Moon, Phil's mom. Later, Jacob gave his blue paint to Moon for safekeeping. So Moon didn't know about Jacob's origin in the first place, which shows why Phil's mom doesn't want to talk to Phil about "sunfeather topics". Mainly Sunfeathers talk about bugs, fish, spiders, etc., while Skyfeathers talk mainly about other birds, looking good, and mostly non-animal-related topics.
