Tetration. What is tetration? Tetration is this way of making insanley big numbers. To explain how it works, we'll start off simple. Plus. Everyone knows what plus is. Like 2+3=5 and 4+7=11. Times. Times is repeated plus, meaning it's a shorter way of adding a number to itself several times. Powers. Powers is repeated times, just like how times is repeated plus. You may be wondering, what comes after that? Well that's tetration. Here's an example, 10 tetrated to 5 is ten to the power of itself 5 times. Which is REALLY BIG. 10 tetrated to 100 would be ten to the power of itself 100 times. MUCH BIGGER. How do we calculate this tho? Let's take something simple like 3 tetrated to 3. 3 tetrated to 3 is equal to 3 to the power of 3, 3 times. When doing tetration, we're trying to get the biggest number possible, so we do this by starting the calculation from the end. This equals 3^27. We can simplify this down to approximatley 7 trillion, which is a HUGE number. Why can't we do this the other way round though? This is because it'll make a much smaller number. Here, we do 27^3. Which is only 19683. Which is much smaller than 7 Trillion. This process we're doing here is known as 'Left tetration' or 'Lower tetration'. Let's try calculate something bigger, like 10 tetrated to 5. 10 tetrated to 5 is equal to 10 to the power of itself 5 times. We calculate starting from the end, so start with this 10^10. This is equal to 10 Billion, already huge. 10^10 billion is 1 followed by ONE BILLION zeros. 10 to the power of that, is an INSANLEY big number. And ten to the power of that, is an even BIGGER number. This just shows how extreme tetration really is. But... what comes after tetration? That's something for another time. Bye!
