The largest religion nobody has seen before. The Bahá'í Faith is the second most wide-spread religion (Without conquest, like how Christianity or Islam spread) and the 10th largest religion. Misconceptions: 1. We are a front for the State of Israel No actually... :O Our headquarters are in Israel, because the two cities that Baháʼu'lláh designated as our holy lands are in Israel, about 100 years before modern Israel was created. They also are the only country in our homeland where we aren't killed for existing. This rumor was started by the Iranian Regime, so that they could justify literally genocide against their Bahá'í minority. Please stop spreading this, thank you. :3 2. Bahá'í Faith is a cult I originally thought this, the same way non-Christians could see Christianity as a cult due to worshiping Jesus. The Bahá'í Faith doesn't meet any of the qualifications to be a cult if you actually read into what the Faith believes and what a cult is. 3. Bahá'í Faith is just another sect of Islam The most harmless one, but not technically true. It's like calling Christianity "A sect of Judaism", I mean, technically it is, but not exactly. Bahá'í believe all religions are one religion, and we also do believe in Islam, but also Christianity, Judaism, Buddhism, Hinduism, Zoroastrianism, etc. 4. It is a political movement No, and anyone saying this is twisting the truth. The Báb, the man who foretold of Baháʼu'lláh (Our Prophet), was forced to stage a rebellion against the Persian government, as Persia falsely accused the Bábists of trying to instigate a rebellion to justify genocide against them, due to them fighting for the poor and for women's rights, which the government didn't approve of. The Báb accepted his execution, though many Bábists, knowing death was upon them, took up arms against the Persian Army, fighting to the end. Those who survived, including women and children, were tortured before being executed. A few managed to flee. We also are considered a political movement due to it's preaching of equality (Including gender equality, 50 years before Women's Suffrage started). The 'goal' of the Faith is to create a united, peaceful world, which we call the "Global Golden Age", 100 years before the UN. 5. You are born into it/it denies other religions No???? Where did this come from???- Most people aren't born into it, and Bahá'í families don't force their kids to become Bahá'í like many other religions. It spreads mostly through people discovering it, like myself. We also believe every major religion is correct, though many have been corrupted by humanity. Some Bahá'ís consider themselves part of every religion. Due to these lies, the Bahá'í Faith has always been heavily persecuted around the world. Most famously in Iran, due to the regime's sheer ruthlessness. After the Iran War is over, if the Iranian regime survives, Bahá'ís are going to absolutely be blamed for everything and be slaughtered, are you kidding?- My prayers go to all the innocents in Iran, including most Iranians, as the Osul-Garāyān minority in power is not going to just go "Well, I guess we learned our lesson" after this blasted war. "O wayward generation! Had you believed in me, every one of you would have followed the example of this youth, who stood in rank above most of you, and would have willingly sacrificed himself in my path. The day will come when you will have recognized me; that day I shall have ceased to be with you" -The Báb's final words before being executed by firing squad.
