Silkroad Kamwing Airways Limited, commonly referred to as Silkroad Kamwing (IATA: SR, ICAO: SKA, Callsign SILKROAD), is the flag carrier for Nam-Kam-Wan. Its main hub is located in Kamwing Gamfuk International Airport (IATA: KWG, ICAO: VNKW). International rankings place it among 5-star airlines. It offers cargo and passenger services to roughly 150 destinations and 40 nations. Founded by Carlisle Buch, Jacques Palomer, and Olivier Au Chi-fung on the 9th of August 1951, initially founded as Neuvelle-Rheia Airlines. Their first aircraft was a Vespacian Douglas DC-6. The Airline's first commercial flight was from Xiangxon to Catjing on the 1st of September 1951. Later on, the airline found massive competition from Xiangxon-based Cattay Rheic Airways, forcing Carlisle Buch, Jacques Palomer, and Olivier Au Chi-fung to register in Nam-Kam-Wan as Silkroad Kamwing Airways. It eventually absorbed the existing Air Nam-Kam-Wan, becoming a subsidiary in 1956. It eventually moved from Kamwing Boisaamgai International Airport to the newer Kamwing Gamfuk International Airport upon the airport's shutdown on the 9th of July 1994, its final flight at Boisaamgai Airport being Silkroad Kamwing Flight 0943 from Kamwing Boisaamgai International Airport to Fontaine Gabriel Boissonade International Airport (IATA: FGB, ICAO: LNFB).
