Hey everyone! I'm opening up to Scratch about being agender. My preferred name is Kol and I go by they/them pronouns. Hopefully I won't receive too much transphobia or anything, even as a Christian myself, and I hope people are supportive. I also decided to share some recommendations of songs I currently love, check "Notes and Credits" to see how to play each one. If y'all don't like reading long paragraphs about someone's life story I recommend not reading below... I came out as an enby to a few of my queer friends two days ago. It's not something I'm very fond of sharing but it is who I am. I'm worried people will think I'm just trying to follow a trend or I'm trying to get attention but I take pride in my gender identity. And it's temporarily helping with my mental health, this pride. Not sure if it'll last long or not, though. I hate to admit that I used to be slightly transphobic most my young childhood because of social expectation and I thought it's unreasonable. I'm glad to say things aren't that way anymore and I've grown to understand how identity works. Now, unlike most trans or non-binary people, I didn't experience stereotypical "gender dysphoria" my early life but instead social isolation because I've always been different (always in a way I felt like a misfit). Other than the sexuality side of things (I'm bi), of course. I've made friends with a lot of guys in my life but most of them saw me as too girly, and the girls would talk behind my back and call me a pick-me. And the boy-girl stereotypes made me cringe inside. I believe feminism and gender equality have over time changed in meaning because of society, and how many 'feminists' are just people who prioritise women & call them superior and don't believe men face similar struggles. I don't have anything against it but that's why all men stereotype women so much. It goes both ways though because it's a cycle. I'd never really questioned my gender; I mean, why would I? I was happy being the only daughter in the house, the "miracle" child. Until... I wasn't. I went through puberty early so I wasn't comfortable in my body. And girls my age so happy being girls and guys were happy being guys. And I felt like... me. I didn't understand for a while that I don't have to fit in these rigid lines. I just dont have a gender. I hope you all support my agender identity, thanks for reading. P.S. Yes, I've changed this project from just plain non-binary to enbyflux now to agender but I PROMISE THIS IS THE LAST TIME! I really believe I just don't have a gender.
