He is the long-lost twin brother of Zenitsu Agatsuma and a survivor of the orphanage massacre involving Gyomei Himejima and Kaigaku. Takaejou is a unique, highly volatile combatant who created Paralysis Breathing, a style derived from Thunder Breathing. Due to severe neurological head trauma suffered during a demon attack in his childhood, Takaejou completely lost the neural pathways required to feel physical pain or process emotional empathy. Despite his clinical inability to understand suffering, both his own and that of others. he possesses a highly affectionate, clingy, and childlike demeanor, categorized as a dorodere. He harbors a deep, obsessive loyalty to those he considers "his people" (such as his mentors Kyojuro Rengoku and Mitsuri Kanroji, and his brother Zenitsu), though his complete lack of moral boundaries and pain perception makes his affection intensely unsettling. During the same childhood tragedy that took his adoptive family, Takaejou’s body accidentally ingested a minute amount of demon blood. While he remains fully human, this trace blood gives him a passive, extremely rapid regeneration rating which supposedly allowing him to instantly heal the massive muscular tears caused by his self-destructive breathing style. Personality Takaejou is cheerful, highly energetic, and deeply affectionate toward his close circle—often mimicking social behaviors he observes in his mentor, Mitsuri Kanroji. He frequently clings to people, offers bright smiles, and expresses intense "love." However, because he cannot feel pain or process empathy, his affection is deeply distorted. If a friend is crying or severely injured, Takaejou will smile brightly and try to comfort them, completely unable to comprehend why they are sad or hurting. He views violence, injury, and death with a childlike curiosity rather than horror. This gives him a chilling, unpredictable streak similar to a psychopath; he can play a game with someone one moment, and ruthlessly dismantle a demon with a serene, joyful expression the next. His deep-seated motive, however, is a possessive vengeance. He is fiercely obsessed with hunting down Kaigaku, the boy who extinguished the wisteria and caused the slaughter of his orphanage family. To Takaejou, getting revenge on Kaigaku is the ultimate act of "love" for his lost family…even if he cannot truly feel the grief of their loss. Sometimes takaejou gives gives to Zenitsu that he thinks are sweet and nice, but they end of being weird mash-ups of insects like spiders (which he knows Zenitsu deeply despises) and pieces of burnt eggs (don’t ask) :3 2. One time he visited Mitsuri a few months after their training was done and she became a hashira to congratulate her. Mitsuri decided to teach takaejou how to cook her signature, delicious honey pancakes, but it ended up burning her mansion. The current curtains that hang over the window behind the dining table are the new curtains. The old ones were much prettier and cuter that Mitsuri and Takaejou made themselves (although a large amount of needles were needed cough cough)
